Congress outraged by President Trump's airstrikes

I am an independent. I can understand some differences on issues within the party, socially liberal vs. fiscally conservative or whatever. But “Some people did something”??? and party leaders do not immediately and vocally distance themselves from that person, no outrage from rank and file… I dont understand parties I guess.

Absolutely right, however in my opinion if you’re not part of the solution you are part of the problem. If you don’t stand for something then you will fall for anything!
All most of us are saying is, I’m not really speaking for everyone, there is a guide called The United States Constitution. Some if not all of our rights are in black and parchment, we or I don’t appreciate being harassed for our opinions or our rights to keep and bear arms. It clearly states, that right shall not be infringed. In this Bill of Rights, these guys were making a list and checked more than twice and second on their list was and still is the 2A. Now if you made a list, how important is the second item on your list.
The broad strokes that are spoken are, among other things, that good guys with guns are all bad guys. Whether you are democrat, republican, or zombie you clearly have the same rights.
You don’t appreciate crime, drugs or gangs in your neighborhood. I have no doubt there are plenty of democrats that are well armed, I for one am hoping you stand with our great nation to save our great nation.
Or we can all just call it a day and vote for Hillary and the ONE WORLD order. Just please take a look at Venezuela.
We should probably consider ourselves as the enemy of my enemy is my friend. Our enemies are idiots in Washington and the true enemy is the media so let’s stand together and fight the true enemy. I will stand with you, if you’ll stand with me!

It was a Democrat who called half of America deplorables…it is Democrats who are 100% against the 2A…it is Democrats that cry in the streets when the world’s leading terrorists is killed…I know there may be a few good Democrats but as a party they are against America.

It was one Dem that called Americans deplorable…not all dems are anti 2A…and most dems don’t cry in the streets when terrorists die.

Listen, i understand, Dems are all over the place trying to find new ground and identity, a lot of things that these new democratic officials are proposing is nonsense, yes they might have the mic, but they do not represent the entire party. In the middle of this confusion are millions of Americans that deserve to be heard and represented by their president, and not pushed to the side, or bunched together with extreme party leftist that most don’t even agree with.

The Democrat Party’s platform is ANTI-AMERICAN. To say otherwise, is just ignoring the facts. Until the moderates (great example is Joe Manchin) wakes up and see whats happening to their party, and calls it what it is, then YES, I call the Democrat Party “Anti-American”. BTW: Half this country is not Democrat. Only 31% of voting age citizens are registered Democrat. Of those, nearly half are liberal-progressive, and trending socialist. Open thine eyes…

Yes, the Democrat party is trying to find their way right now. Unfortunately, they’re going the wrong way…

okay, still more than the 29% of registered republicans…and let’s not forget the fact that there are millions of unregistered Americans, what do you think they would register as should push come to shove…here’s a hint, it won’t be republican.

so it might actually be more than half.

That was not so much a Democrat, that was a pig! I can’t write what I truly feel about her and her friends. Yes something should have been done or said. Our country is owed a public apology. That is the crap we all need to fight against. That and her friends are the true enemies of the state.

Hopefully they will be Americans.

I feel for you Ben and any other sensible Democrat that is suffering from cognitive dissonance. The democrat party has left folks like you and moved on to socialism. The question is will you and other reasonable Democrats refuse the lurch to the extreme left or will you support it?

this is unfortunately true, i still hold strong in believing Dems can bring it back to some sort of middle ground, i just hope if and/or when that happens, Republicans can bring their party back near the middle as well…we might then have a good chance of making America UNITED again.

@Ben_Blanc

I hope you are right. But you do realize that there is a huge middle ground, right now. Roughly, 65 million right leaning supporters, roughly 67 million left leaning supporter’s. Then about 135 million in between the two extremes. That’s just the politically engaged. Add in 50-100 million who don’t care enough to vote.

It’s not that there isn’t a middle ground. It’s that no one is trying to reach it. Both political parties have been driven to the far edges of their boundaries. There’s just no one speaking to the middle.

We can all thank the Citizens United ruling for that. I remember a time, when it was bad form to use outside donor money. The big debate was making it within the election budget that was given by the government.

I’ve enjoyed reading this dialogue, both sides. As a life long Massachusetts Republican but disgusted by Trumps tweets and distasteful treatment of people who disagree with him, I’ve been watching him and the Dems closely. Bernie, Lizzie, Harris, AOC, impeachment, etc are you kidding me? They had an opportunity and blew it. The Dems have gone so far left I’m thinking of getting a MAGA hat. Trump was not going to have a Benghazi on his watch after our embassy attack and I find his approach to military and foreign policy using business tactics fascinating. His press conference last week was brilliant.

I’d disagree on the troll part. We’ve removed a couple of trolls - whew they were out there. The comments I think you’re referring to are counter to what a lot of the Community might think, but those comments are welcome as long as they’re expressed respectfully. Seeing multiple viewpoints will help us all grow and consider alternatives. It may strengthen your view and help you make your counter discussion better.

Until they repeal Citizens United, it’s not going to happen. To much big money involved by “Special Interest”. It’s not a coincidence that both sides are at the far side of their parties. Now it’s “Scorched Earth” by both sides. I honestly can not recall a single good bipartisan meaningful piece of legislation passing the House and the Senate, since Citizens United passed.

One thing I have learned about Donald Trump, entrepreneur, and President Donald Trump, is his seemingly simple criteria for hiring key people. Loyalty. He expects loyalty from his people for which he gives loyalty. With no loyalty from the communists masquerading as Democrats throughout our government at the federal and state levels, why would he divulge to them any information they would tell the Iranians and Iraqis immediately?

Loyalty. As a businessman Donald used this as a key factor in hiring and firing people in his organization. It has helped him build a multi-billion dollar business, and is helping him Make America Great Again, and Again and Again.

@Ben_Blanc - You seem to assume (you obviously do not know what assume means) observation will be discontinued.

observation through the soleimani channel IS discontinued…subject is deceased…no assumption there bud.

^ speaking of assumptions ^

Could you please tell me which Democrats are communists, and your proof…i am intrigued to say the least

You haven’t been around long or you don’t pay any attention to history or both.
