Colorado - Interesting Read and Newspaper drops Pro-Gun Article

Right up until the traitor Cronkite declared the war in Vietnam lost following Tet when in fact Tet had been a resounding victory for the US and RSV.

There was some restoration that followed particularly during the eighties into the early nineties but Brokaw and Jennings forever cemented that we could no longer trust broadcast news. Brokaw for the phony “Bush was Awol” story in an attempt to throw the election to Gore, and Jennings when he declared that Bush was a coward in hiding on 9-11 because he followed protocol and went mobile for about 18 hours in AF-1 until we were sure who hit us and that there wasn’t going to be an attack on the WH. Remember, Flight 93 was actually supposed to be flown into the WH.

I’m one of the few who received his draft card in high school and was dead set against the US being in Vietnam. However, if i were drafted i already made up my mind to serve and not burn the card or head up North. I attempted to enlist in the AF but the recruiter told me to finish high school first and if the war was active he’d sign the papers and i’d be off to boot camp. Having listened to both WWII and Korea vets discuss the “that is a lost war from the beginning. De Gaulle’s Warning to Kennedy: An ‘Endless Entanglement’ in Vietnam.” https://www.nytimes.com/1972/03/15/archives/de-gaulles-warning-to-kennedy-an-endless-entanglement-in-vietnam.html

Thanks @ES16  sometimes I have moments of clarity where the picture falls snugly into place. The conversations on here provoke that experience a lot.

Before putting too much stock in DeGualle’s comments take a look at his history of surrender.

The war was completely winnable, we just blew it letting the politicians dictate the conduct of the war right down tot he ROE.

Neither Johnson or Kennedy wanted a clean win, they wanted a protracted war for a tie and that’s how you lose.

We never put any real effort into winning at all we just wasted a lot of lives, ruined many more, and hundreds of billions of dollars went into the hands of campaign contributors.

We seemed to have veered off course here so i’m going back to our post; Booker and Waters disparage (IMO) a hard working honest couple with excellent business ethics in providing a service to their community.
