Church Online?

If you’re a faithful church-goer, the next number of weeks may have you questioning if you should attend. The church I go to offers online services - not quite the same, but better than not going or going and getting sick.

Do you plan on physically attending church even with the social distancing?

My church is doing online services only. I believe it is the right thing, best part is I can be in the service and have my coffee and breakfast. I also can mute the Pastor, (just kidding Pastor Jim - just kidding, really).

We are doing online. We already broadcast our worship on multiple online platforms, so the infrastructure is already in place. We are even doing online, interactive Sunday School, using the Zoom app. It’s not the same, but, all things considered. We have even taken it a step further. Us deacons will start calling our “flocks” tomorrow to see if anyone needs anything. The church will organize delivery runs for our members that can’t get out. Last, since daycares are closed, if someone calls the church office, we have member volunteers that have agreed to open their homes to “watch” the kiddos while the “Essential Industry” folks keep this juggernaut moving. Last, any of our full time staff, that are at home, will still be receiving their full pay, so, we reminded everyone that you can still give tithes and offerings through our website. A lot of our members do that already anyway.

Nope…

There’s a lot of online Masses available so it doesn’t have to be my Church.
Additionally, Catholics are dispensed from having to attend Mass.
We will survive with Faith  :muscle:

Our church is offering online services only. The offices are closed, but email communications continue.

For any of us that don’t have a church home, we’d love you to join us on line.

No, I don’t trust that others have been as faithful in self quarantine as I and my wife have.

My wife is much more faithful than I am. We are tuning into the FB Live of our service. I actually find I like it better!

Yes, only because I’m part of the production crew for the online services.

I’m not going to risk infecting the elderly, and I think church would be a good place for a lot of cross infection (pun intended).
I do miss serving and seeing my peeps.

I love online service but now its become where that’s all I do.
The unknown writer of Hebrews[believe Paul] but said not to forsake the assembly of ourselves. But thats for life reasons not meant to be condemnation just be around other fellow believers[No matter particular religion or faith] WISDOM says not when this is going around lol

FYI find the second opinions out today from a specialist! Keep in prayers.

Well the one thing that comes out of this is there shouldn’t be any church shootings for a while.

Or schools. In fact, aren’t essentially all gun free zones shut down?

all except the hospitals.

So with gun purchases up, and public gatherings down, I think we’re about to prove the cause of mass shootings isn’t guns, it’s… PEOPLE.

And, that more people die at the hands of a doctor, than by a gun.
