We have new tools for you to print and share with those business and store owners who question why we carry:
I just called and asked for the files so that I can print them up to hand out when needed to do so.
@Dawn for those of us who are instructors, can we make these available to our students?
I wanted to see what they looked like, took very little time to get a response from USCCA. I’m going to print some up an put them in my car so I can share appropriately
So, really only for those that have taken a USCCA training class of some sort?
@Fish I’m thinking that’s true, since it calls that out. But in theory you could make your own without that clause. … or… you could come take a course or two
@Dawn can probably clarify.
(and also if we can distribute to our students).
I think being here and engaging qualifies as USCCA training. I love watching Into The Fray, and the Ask An Attorney webinars. I haven’t taken any formal USCCA training classes (yet), but I definitely feel like I’m getting USCCA training
Can not love this enough!!! Thank you @Dawn!
@Dawn @Zee Could you please provide a couple of quick scenarios where these could or should be given out? I printed a few sheets on photo paper and used my paper cutter to make them look very professional.
They were designed with USCCA Members in mind. There are parts that can definitely be useful to non-members.
I would suggest using them - or a similar variation - to promote responsibly armed Americans.
Love it! Just sent email. Thanks
@TexasEskimo Scenarios to use these…
- you’re asked to leave a shop or restaurant because you carry… give one to the manager.
- you’re asked to leave asked to leave a restaurant because you’re discussing carry… give one to the manager.
- you would like to shop at a place, but can’t because they’ve posted “no carry” signs… give one to the manager with the information about why you’re taking your money down the street to their competitor.
- a queasy friend expresses discomfort about you carrying…
- a relative doesn’t want you bringing your gun to their house…
… hows that for a start
I’m a big fan of letting managers of posted locations know they lost my business and why.
Agreed. I do have some I made myself. Some to Thank welcoming businesses and others, similar to those being discussed here.
And, while I have not had and in-person training from USCCA, I have finished two of the eLearning courses, so I think I’m covered.
@fish I think you’re golden
Technically it doesn’t say educated and trained by the USCCA. However, are you reading the blog and Community posts and doing the Youtube drills, you are kinda educated and trained by the USCCA - maybe not in a formal class, but your learning and training from USCCA material!
@Brian_J Now, those two cards win The Best I’ve Seen on the Subject category! I’m going to have a bunch of each of those made. Assuming they’re not copyrighted or sump’n…
No, I got them from a web search at www.Shootingusa.com
So their fair use to anyone
