Casing on the road

…casings on the road. (sung to the tune, Pants on the Ground)

He’s probably sitting at home now with nothing to reload.

“According to the California Highway Patrol in Fresno, an unknown driver dropped an ammo can that spilled “more than a couple thousand” empty shell casings onto the roadway”

Dropped ‘an ammo can’?

That would have to be one big ammo can!

Agreed… thousands of rounds? Like did he accidentally tip over an oil drum?

Did anyone else zoom in? They looked like ammo to me, not just casings.

The media sure can exaggerate, but 1001 is thousands…so that’s not really that much, is it, for a can? What cartridge are those suckers?

I did and I believe you are right. What a waste!

In case you were wondering, the cases talked about are brass casings, in case you did not know. A case of casings can be any variable number of casings running from 500 to 5000, depending on the amount someone has ordered. They come in plastic bags and are incased in a cardboard box. So, if they fall out of a vehicle it would be able to spread all over the road. A case of casings would be a lot harder to break apart so I go to think that the cases were in a cardboard box.
