While not as āredā as Texas or Florida, Nevada has āacquiredā a few California rejects as of late.. Las Vegas Traitors, er Raiders and the soon to be Las Vegas āAāsā or whatever name they are going to give them. There seems to be something in the works for an NBA team as well. Maybe Las Vegas Lakers?..
As for Da Bears, hope where ever they end up itās better than where they were.

They will still be Chicago bears. Indianaās gov was on clay and buck today. Sounds like the move is gonna happen. Years ago there was talk of them moving to Gary, Indiana. Obviously that didnt go through so it was a long time coming.

My sister moved there about 4 decades ago, pure Conservative blood with a mutt pedigree. NYS still has a Conservative party, not viable in most elections, but gets some pull in endorsing Republicans. Back when I was a kid and the parties were not so far apart, the Conservatives would sometimes endorse Democrats in local elections if they gave some concessions. That is the power of a swing party, we typically had enough votes in a local election to get things that otherwise would not happen.

Yes I have two sisters that live in upstate NY I went to visit a couple of summers back and was wearing a 2A shirt and in a grocery store a guy came up and said thanks donāt judge the whole state by the city and boroughs. I laughed and said I understand.

The Florida Yankees (or Tampa Yankees) isnāt far from true already. Most of the Yankees live in Tampa and fly to NY to play. Why live in that state?
They have a beautiful ballpark called George Steinbrenner field directly across the street from Raymond James Stadium where the Bucs play. The Tampa Bay Rays borrowed Steinbrenner Field all season last year because their own was badly damaged in a hurricane.
Years ago I used to live in Tampa not far from where Steinbrenner lived. Iād run into him and his driver at a local coffee shop. He had a Rolls-Royce limo with a NY Yankees front license plate. Heās buried just outside Tampa. He was a major donor to causes for kids around Tampa, and is extremely highly regarded as having been one of Tampaās big philanthropists and all around great citizens.

When I lived and died by the Yankees Box scores and the Metās acquiring a Yankee was met with great derision (towards the TURN COAT YANKEE DOG! ) Those were the dayās of LOYALITY. You went to the Pawtucket Muscrats (I made that up) before you went to the Toilet Team in Flushing, Queens! 
Folkās who signed with a team (became the team and ended their careers with that team Usually). Youād NEVER see Da Mick in a Padres uniform.
Sadly those days are gone and folkās go through 5 or 6 teams before they retire. Ticket prices are outrageous, you can buy 1000 rounds of .556 for the cost of a pair of nose bleeds in the rafters. (today? Iāll choose the bullets every time)
This past Super bowl PROVED the out off control Sports Machine is alive and well. Th$usands for a decent ticket , $180 for a āSpecialā Burger, $20 for a Beer? Enjoy Sportsfans, not for me anymore. My āLocalā baseball team The āIsotopesā (a play on the Love of Nuclear BS this State has). They use to be the LA Dodgers Farm Team now they are The Rockies (sorry Colorado). But a 4 pack of tickets a couple of Dogs, sodaās can run you $400!+. (Not including Parking, Sweatshirts, a Baseball etc)
I think what REALLY soured me was the āSports Bookā angle. The Scandals, the hint of Mafia/Veg$s influence on a lot of Sports now. I donāt try and spoil life for others but when it comes to certain things Iāve seen so much and witnessed corruption I just canāt get excited about it anymore (I wish I could but I canāt)
If the Yankees ever go to Florida I hope they donāt go TEAL pinstripes----I donāt think my heart could take that! 
Also if they did go to Florida they would DESERVE that big āFā on their uniforms! ----just sayinā

I hear ya. Iām not a huge sports fan, but Iāve always followed the Bills, and have always liked hockey and follow the Lightning in Tampa. I absolutely hate what gambling has done to my enjoyment of football. There are so many instances in the game that come down to some degree of subjectivity in the officiating, and since gambling started its impossible to not wonder of bad calls are on purpose.
Well, Iām about to watch US vs Canada in the Olympic hockey game. Go USA.

Silver is still respectable. They had the better squad but we had the grit. Broken teeth and all. Ill take it and see what happens again in 4 years.
