Someone asked if they would allow us to keep flint-lock muskets.

We’re circling the drain as a country, folks. In another thread is a very cogent argument by Colian Noir about why we should be teaching firearms safety in schools, and these people are peeing their pants about a school mascot of patriotic Americans armed with muskets who founded our very country?

Bay Area petty tyrants don’t like what Minutemen symbolize :man_shrugging:t4:

Not surprised this happened in CA. Yet another instance where people are more concerned about perception or “optics” than about what is actually going on in our country. This is the same place where there is rampant crime and flash mobs brazenly stealing from department stores. No thanks. I’ll stay where I’m at, which is far from the left coast.

Mount Diablo Unified District. I’m not well versed in Spanish but, isn’t “Diablo” the word for “Devil”? So, The Devil is fine and dandy and doesn’t upset the kiddies, but a man in a historic type uniform with a one shot rifle causes panic in their wimpy little minds. Seems to me that a better way to spend “an estimated $200,000” would be for this failing school district to teach the kiddies how to balance a checkbook. Therapy might also be a good way to spend that money…

That’s because they don’t believe in god, the devil, heaven nor hell.

so probably does the word “deportation”. It is a theory, but explains a lot.

Hmmmm. This was a decision made by the BOARD, which is composed of elected officials. Wouldn’t it be nice if someone who lived in the district and was outraged by the decision: (1) ran for a seat on the Board; or (2) initiated a recall petition. Probably too much work for the residents of the Mt Diablo Unified School District.
