The better half was reading one of her websites and it was talking about the military leadership making plans to restart the military draft. Anybody else hear this?

Well the Army is already letting certain soldiers wear kilts, er I mean dresses. Now if they let them paint themselves blue….we might have a decent Army.

I thought it was the Pics that painted themselves blue but they eventually lost too. However they scared the crap out of the enemy whom thought they were devils. They did make Hadrian build that wall.

The “draft” requires able bodied men! Have you seen any age 18 to 24? 90% of them can’t tell time on an analog watch based on a 24 hour day, and none of them can make change for a dollar!

The Roman’s built two walls in Great Britain; the Antonine and Hadrian’s. The Antonine was mostly earthworks, and not much is still there nor visible, Hadrian’s was stone, the ruins of which are still impressive today. I have visited parts of both on separate trips. It is impressive to see how much impact the Roman’s still have over 1,000 years after their fall. Their empire must have been far greater than reading history books and seeing Roman sites provides. Their culture, language, etc., still permeates our Western culture, if you know what to look for. Many of the English towns and cities are anglicized version of the Roman names. The towns and cities in the UK with cester is from the Latin word meaning fort.
