Multiple intel sources: Baltimore bridge collapse was an “absolutely brilliant strategic attack” on US critical infrastructure – most likely cyber – & our intel agencies know it. In information warfare terms, they just divided the US along the Mason Dixon line exactly like the Civil War.

Second busiest strategic roadway in the nation for hazardous material now down for 4-5 years – which is how long they say it will take to recover. Bridge was built specifically to move hazardous material – fuel, diesel, propane gas, nitrogen, highly flammable materials, chemicals and oversized cargo that cannot fit in the tunnels – that supply chain now crippled.

Make no mistake: this was an extraordinary attack in terms of planning, timing & execution.

The two critical components on that bridge are the two load-bearing pylons on each end, closest to the shore. They are bigger, thicker and deeper than anything else. These are the anchor points and they knew that hitting either one one of them would be a fatal wound to the integrity of the bridge.

Half a mile of bridge went in the river – likely you will have to build a new one. Also caused so much damage to the structural integrity of the bottom concrete part that you cannot see & won’t know until they take the wreckage apart. Structural destruction likely absolute.

Attack perfectly targeted.

The footage shows the cargo ship never got in the approach lane in the channel. You have to be in the channel before you get into that turn. Location was precise/deliberate: chose a bend in the river where you have to slow down and commit yourself – once you are committed in that area there is not enough room to maneuver.

Should have had a harbor pilot to pilot the boat. You are not supposed to traverse any obstacles without the harbor pilot.

They chose a full moon so they would have maximum tidal shift – rise and fall. Brisk flow in that river on a normal day & have had a lot of rain recently so water was already moving along at a good pace.

Hit it with enough kinetic energy to knock the load-bearing pylon out from under the highway – which fatally weakens the span and then 50 percent of the bridge fell into the water.

All these factors when you look at it – this is how you teach people how to do this type of attack and there are so few people left in the system who know this. We have a Junior varsity team on the field.

Tremendous navigational obstruction. Huge logistical nightmare to clean this up. Number of dead is tragic but not the whole measure of the attack.

That kind-of bridge constantly under repair – always at night because there is so much traffic and they cannot obstruct that during the day. So concern is for repair guys who were on foot (out of their vehicles) working who may now be in the water – 48 degrees at most at this time of year.

When you choke off Baltimore you have cut the main north-south hazardous corridor (I95) in half. Now has to go around the city – or go somewhere else.

To move some of that cargo through the tunnel you may be able to get a permit but those are slow to get and require an escort system that is expensive and has to be done at night.

For every $100 dollars that goes into the city, $12 comes from shipping. Believe this will cripple the city of Baltimore at a time when they do not have the resources to recover.

So the left wing media calls her a conspiracy theorist… Don’t they do that for every single conservative and person who dares question their narrative?

I understand she’s made some false claims before, but as a whole I don’t see a reason to completely write her off. I could be wrong, and ultimately each of us has to choose which sources to believe and which ones to not. There’s always going to be disagreeing viewpoints. shrug

Why was it so quick to be ruled an accident and the cost of rebuild fully covered by “the Big Guy” (then the bill passed along to taxpayers). Would it not make sense for the insurance of the shipping company to cover it? The insurance could be done after a thorough investigation to what occurred unless someone wants to skip that. hmmm

I would be leery of taking any journalist’s words based on unnamed “intel” sources as fact. Pretty much all journalism today is way more about click bait views and political agendas than actual facts.

If it was a crew member or cyber attack I would not expect the power to go out on the entire ship. You would want the computer and steering to have power in order to precisely steer into the piers supporting the bridge.

I guess there is a slight chance that terrorists could have cut the power at just the right moment for the ship to be heading at just the right angle to hit the piers. But it actually seems more like the efforts to regain control after the power was restored are what lead to the ship hitting in exactly the right spot to take the whole structure down. Occam’s Razor points more clearly towards accident on this one in my uneducated opinion.

I don’t know all the whose and whats involved in covering the costs for this event. But it wouldn’t surprise me if all the fall out from this might be putting the insurers into a situation they can’t afford to cover without significantly cutting into their bottom line and potentially causing cascading failures. Similar to some of what happened in the 2008 financial crises.

So once again the politicians jump in to make sure their business buddies don’t suffer any looses. That is modern capitalism in a plutocratic kleptocracy. The businesses get to keep all the profits and us tax payers cover all the losses.

It did make me look to see if there were any facts to back up the claims. I didn’t see anything other than conjecture.

Hopefully there will be a clear and open investigation. More importantly I hope this leads to further awareness of how old, fragile and poorly designed much of our critical infrastructure is.

Much of our economy is based on infrastructure investments made many decades ago. We have not kept up on maintenance or new development. This does leave us vulnerable to attack but makes us much more vulnerable to regular old decay and the to be expected human and computer error induced accidents.

I have a sneaky suspicion there’s some kind of funny business going on here because if the Harbor Master would have been aboard like she should have been and if the captain and the crew of the ship had any common sense and or experience this wouldn’t have happened and they never would have dropped just the port side anchor so it was dragging the bottom of the channel and they wouldn’t have backed the the engines down which slows the prop down but it also causes the prop to cavitate and starts to slip because it can no longer bite the water and you lose all Rudder control when you have an inline rudder right behind the prop and with only one anchor dropped and dragging the bottom of the channel and the boat will end up sideways real quick.

I look at it like this. If you turn onto an interstate on ramp and your accelerating up to freeway speed and let’s say you’re halfway down the ramp and all of a sudden your engine dies what do you do :thinking: . You stay calm and if it’s not automatic you maintain control and keep it in the lane because you can still steer the car even though the power steering isn’t working and you shift into neutral so you can restart the vehicle and shift back into drive and continue on your way. The thing you do not do is you do not grab the emergency brake and jerk it up and then turn the ignition off because now you’re staring is locked in the ass end of your car is sliding and you’re about to be sideways only on ramp and most likely going to have a bad day. In a nutshell I think that’s what happened here …

I agree this is to stifle any real intensive investigation. The time and money needed to fix this just tripled. Also will force any cleanup/rebuilding efforts to utilize crony unions and companies that launder much of the money back to the Uniparty.
