BMW Launches Subscription-Based Heated Seats

BMW drivers probably love it!

The beemer owners I knew were full of hot air as it was, not sure why the need to add to that.

That’s the fu$&#%g great idea.
Now the carjackers have to be either rich or stupid to steal another BMW… at least during winter time. :slightly_smiling_face:
Owners are going to enjoy this idea. Once they lose the car, the only thing they need to do is cancel the subscription.

Reminds me of a joke from years ago,
What’s the difference between a Porcupine and a BMW?

The pricks are on the outside of the Porcupine.

or something like that…

Nothing like making people pay a premium for all the stuff put into the vehicle they just bought and then making them pay again so they can actually use it.

I like some of BMWs designs but even if I had the extra cash to throw at a high end vehicle I wouldn’t give it to a company that pulls this BS on their customers. Pretty sure Tesla has similar practices. Though they also go even further making you pay extra now for features they promise to maybe add to your car someday in the future.

I always appreciate what the aftermarket comes up with.

When they start pulling stunts like this, someone will sell a chip or programmer to correct it eventually.

My wife has a 2017 Chevy she could care less about, but don’t ever mention selling her '01 Corolla, hand crank windows a main reason she loves that silly old car.
I laugh, but am pretty serious believing that at the end of times, it’s going to be cockroaches and that Toyota that still survive.

Here in AZ we use “cactus” instead of porcupine for the riddle.

I thought this was a joke - but no, it’s a real thing.

How dumb.

Living in Oklahoma, I hope they never do that to air conditioning.

maybe not A/C… but who knows… perhaps Oklahoma will have a special deal for “Start-Your-Car” subscription. :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Hey - I know…gun manufacturers could put remote control subscription safeties on all guns so the benevolent government can shut off our guns when we haven’t paid our taxes, or we get red-flagged, or we voted for the wrong person.

Yeah, that’ll work!!!

As none of my carry guns have safeties, I believe that is a wonderful idea… :sunglasses: Okay, that was sarcasm… :sunglasses:

What if… subscription will be needed for trigger to be moved back? :face_with_raised_eyebrow:

“After Colt and Smith & Wesson, two major US gun manufacturers, agreed in 2000 to create government-sponsored smart guns to prevent accidental shootings and gun deaths”

“The opposition Colt and Smith & Wesson encountered isn’t unusual. While gun rights advocates aren’t against smart guns, per se, many fear government intervention could one day limit gun owners’ ability to buy and use traditional guns.”
