Can anyone help or point me in the right direction on background check being denied because of a 15yr old protection order that never got dropped. I had no idea they never dismissed it until I went and tried to buy a shotgun. I got it all taken care of and have all the papers showing it was dismissed. Just not sure the best way to go about this without causing more harm. The person at the store told me not to try again because I could be red flagged. Any help would be much appreciated
Find a lawyer in your area that can handle it for you just be sure they are up to date with state and Fed laws. better yet us a USCCA lawyer.

I have reached out to uscaa but they havent git back with me. I think they said the same as you ), get a lawyer. Trying to do it without paying thousand or more on something that the courts forgot to do.
