Was just listening to a vlog where USCCA helped advocate in the current Colorado legislation. Here in RI, Gov McKee just wrote a ridiculous ban & registry into his budget proposal. Being a blue state, we don’t usually see too much outside help from 2A supporters. Any help in getting attention to this ban would be great!

Im in MA… i feel ur pain bro
Welcome to the community. I would try to get involved if I were in your shoe. That is me being me. Maybe if you showed them how peaceful and understanding you are they would see that the band only stops people like you and not criminals. But then again, I think the only reason they are doing this is to show they are doing something and think it will be something easy to pass.
I agree Robert1246 The anti gun bills only apply to law abiding people, what I do not understand how it is ok today and tomorrow it is not ok, are they realy that stupid?
For them it’s about politics. They are appealing to the people they want to vote for them. Apparently this is what the people want. If it is not they will be protesting. It is about showing the people what is good about guns and showing them their purpose is to save lives. If the people knew this, they would be protesting this bill. I don’t think they’re stupid. I think nobody ever told them. One doesn’t know what they don’t know. Calling them stupid will get us nowhere. Appealing to their better sense of judgment will.
Robert, you’re 100% correct in that people are brainwashed into believing, despite all the evidence to the contrary, that strict gun control laws reduce violent crime and mass murder. Somehow, in spite of New York’s extreme AWB, a kid in Buffalo still murdered 10 innocent people with a so-called “assault weapon.” Had New York not made it functionally impossible to carry a concealed weapon, it’s possible an armed citizen could have stopped the attack before so many people died, but that’s the effect of gun control laws. Innocent people die.
It’s not like someone bent on shooting up a place and stamping his crazy name in the history books of mass shooters is going to say to himself, “well, if only I could buy a semiautomatic rifle with a detachable magazine and a flash suppressor, I’d do my deed, but I can’t, so I guess I’ll become a computer programmer instead.” That’s the aabsurdity of these laws.
You’re 100% correct. Thanks
Indeed. The folks who support gun bans vote in greater numbers than the 2A community. They also run for office and manage to pull together successful political campaigns.
Just think if they were on our side.
Maybe I should have used misinformed insted stupid as the news put out a lot of misinformation and they belive it.
Thanks
CT did that ban and registry a year or two ago. I got tired of the bs and moved to a 2a sanctuary state. They never stop with the control in the Northeast minus NH. Gun control is simply more control. More control, more government. More government, more tax. Education has become indoctrination in the schools, and yes, the masses are brainwashed. I dealt with a bunch of them, from senators to friends. You get them seeing your point and a week later it’s back to square one. Hakuna freaking matata
I had one very pro 2a friend in RI, he testified at the capital around 8 years ago against whatever the heck infringement the powers that be had dreamed up…it never stops. After 60 plus years, I realized the northeast is a lost cause. Sad, it was my home, but I will never go back.
@Ryan213 Welcome to the community! These Bills are unconstitutional, Bureaucratic overreach infringements of our Second Amendment Rights, and completely defies the Heller, McDonald, and Bruen decisions from the Supreme Court. Furthermore, these Bills have no effect on decreasing violence, nor will it have no effect on an increase to Public Safety, but only endangers law-abiding gun owners from self dense by making them more vulnerable of becoming victimized by violent criminals who defy laws and such bans anyway. Get ahold of your legislators and give them this message. Have them vote NO to these gun-grabbing anti-2A Bills. More people are dying from Fentanyl overdoses than from gun shots. Fentanyl is the big driver of crime. Fentanyl is a dangerous weapon far more lethal than firearms.
