things are so different now then they were when I was trained. Being in the Army during the cold war in Germany as part of a sensitive unit, we were bombarded with signage and training almost on a daily basis. You just knew to be aware all the time and always carried paper and a writing instrument with you.

Now in the days of smart phones if you are not in a situation where you can film or take picture with your phone you always have the option of a voice recording of what is happening or what you are witnessing.

In this day and age of apps I am sure you can download one on your phone you could us, oh wait its already there! It is called 911.

I am only a little sorry for the sarcasm.
