ATF Search Home of Business Owner that Bought 80% Unfinished Lowers

Very important advice, just because you are innocent, NEVER allow any police officer or other government agent into your home without a warrant.

The short of it is the government presumably (as they have in the past) got a list of people that bought a legal item (80% unfinished lowers) from a payment processing company, either upon request or subpoena (unknown). The ATF then went with local police to search the house of a business owner without a subpoena. Foolishly, the person let them in. The ATF demanded to take their firearms (not what they were there for) and the 80% unfinished lowers (what initiated their appearance). The business owner refused and they threatened to remain their until they got a subpoena. The business owner then threatened to call their lawyer, then the ATF and police left. But first they took photos of all his firearms and recorded their serial numbers. The ATF attempted the same at least twice at two other homes, but the business owners refused to allow them entry to their homes without a warrant.

My middle name is “Lawyer” and I never open the door to uninvited guests, uniforms or no uniform.

The other concerning issues is that they wanted to confiscate his firearms and unfinished lowers, and that when they could not do that, they took photos of his firearms and recorded their serial numbers. If he had not consented to the search, he would have had a strong case against them. I just wonder what the ATF and police said to that person to make him consent to a search of his home.

Death is a great motivator, so is prison!

Good info here as we all should know the difference between ghost guns & build kits that have serial numbers. Atf lies to gain entrance. Please be aware…

I know this is an older item, but it was displayed as a reference link under a recent article…
As I understand it, one should remember that in the United States one’s permission to the police to let them search CAN BE WITHDRAWN by the one who gave it at any time
At that point in time the officers/detectives are to immediately stop searching and if asked…withdraw from the premises.

If you believe everything you read on Web Site, Facebook our Twitter, are what every social median site your on, you have a lot to learn. Have a nice day and a long life !

I don’t, which is why I asked for proof of your claim. The fact that you still have not done so, then try to claim that I believe everything I read, is further proof of your BS. I cite sources when I post facts. You can look at my posts as proof of that.

Go to ATF Baltimore Twitter page and you will find the same photo. They download the photo from the ATF Twitter page and made a story to go with it. Have a great day and long life. I’m 68 years old and as long as I can remember the NRA is out their to protect our 2nd right. But how much money, have they pull in from people like us and how much of it, is still in their pocket ? That al I’m going to stay.

Oh, the irony.

Yes, I surely would not use twitter, however I do cite ATF data and regs, and I do use other government sites. I am not stating I believe all of their “facts”, but it is a starting point and understanding how they use and manipulate their raw data helps in understanding the lies and disinformation they disseminate.
