Have you ever seen how evolved this is in China… Might want to get used to it … Every piece of tec you use is reporting to someone … It is the new police state…
Yep, this stuff is scary. Total police state. They also have cameras mounted everywhere, scanning crowds. If the government there decides it wants you out of society, there’s no hiding.

Regular old Google facial recognition is pretty sobering, with how accurate it it. I have photos in the Google cloud. It can group them by person. It 100% accurately recognizes and groups everyone, right back to baby pictures, even when there are long gaps in the ages of the person pictured. I had taken a phone-photo of a grainy old picture of my dad from when he was maybe 15 years old. It was small, grainy, black and white, and poor quality. It spotted him, and correctly grouped it with the other pictures of him.
For every correct identification of people by an AI scanning cameras, there are also examples of that “smart” AI mis-identifying someone. The AIs scanning faces and comparing them to massive databases of faces is a just a generation removed from the AI that screens your calls and traps you in an endless cycle that prevents you from talking to a human being. Or, that voice recognition software in your car that can’t seem to understand what you’re saying.
The database of faces and one’s facial components is the new frontier for scammers and malicious actors who can use this data to impersonate or blackmail you in their efforts to separate you from your bank account, credit cards, property titles, etc. If it’s not already in the hands of Chinese, North Korean, Indian or Russian hackers/scammers, I’m pretty sure it will be soon given the trolling through databases that Elon Musk’s 25-year old DOGE wiz-kids are doing.
