Army vet detained by ICE for 8 hours says he wasn't allowed to call an attorney

The Army must produce out a lot of vajajays because this little female dog crying about the Federal Government should have been put down. They should have never been allowed to speak to the media. Am I right Don WWG1WGA?

The video didn’t show him attacking an agent but these days I guarantee there was another 5 people there that show what happened.

Why did he insert himself into a situation that did not directly involve him? Was someone being murdered out side?

Denied his right to contact his lawyer? This right here is a blatant disregard of the constitution.

Are we, as paying members of USCCA, going to be denied our phone call until after we sit in a cell for 8 hours? Until after the police try to question us for 8 hours?

He was being an instigator who thought that standing up for the Constitution should protect him.

When good people stand by and do nothing, evil triumphs because inaction allows wrongdoing and injustice to flourish, a concept famously summarized by the quote, “The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing,”

I agree, except, he did nothing but get arrested and will now spend money on a lawyer to defend himself against the government who will use his tax dollars against him.

Do I hear GoFundMe in the future? You give money to church; why not to a person? Put your money where your mouth is. I have given money to people for their legal defense. As with voting, this allows you to express your beliefs.

Where would that be?

Sorry, I am just saying there are also ways to protest injustice, like voting. If you are living well, there is little justification to fail to put up money to make a difference; hell, corps do it all the time. You give to church after all, unless, of course, you need to buy your way into heaven. You Will Be not alone in doing so.

That show was so, so whacked. I bet it was based on Jim and Tammy Faye.

Yes?

Especially if we actively involve ourselves in interfering with ICE enforcement for any reason other than assisting an officer down.

So the real questions I have are,

Why did they detain him in the first place?

Once he was detained, how cooperative was he? No name? No ID? Just screaming obscenities and demanding a lawyer?

And was he CHARGED with anything?

A quick google search says they can hold you for up to 24 hours without charges while conducting investigations…..

So yeah, if he was interfering with an active investigation, they could detain him for those 8 hours to conclude their current investigation, and any investigation into him as well.

I don’t agree with not allowing him to contact a lawyer, but if the purpose of the detention was to remove obstruction to their investigation with no intent to press charges, the lawyers would probably have just made things worse for him. :man_shrugging:
