And if a teacher shoots someone, will taxpayer dollars, government lawyers, and qualified immunity be available to defend them?
I’m not a big fan of the 40 hour training. I would prefer if teachers and staff are going to protect, the training should be rigorous and continuous all year round!
That’s how many of us treat carrying a firearm on a daily basis. Things in my life have slowed down, but I used to be on the range 3 days a week.
That’s 156 days a year or if you use todays math…that’s 600 times a month
Either you train your staff or you install metal detectors at every entry point.
In addition keep a safely guarded armory on site!

As stated in the article this bill is DOA at the governors desk.
It is my understanding that staff carry at schools in AZ is already technically legal. But only if the school Superindendent authorizes it. I don’t know of any schools is in AZ where that has happened.
