And what I"m saying is, considering the power and influence the government’s of the world have…you really don’t.
But, we will see if Microsft takes over the world’s governments in the near future, you guys may be proven right

They don’t have to take over the governments. All they have to do is control what they can do. And controlling money, transportation and a lot of communications would bring the whole world to its knees. They don’t have to take over the banks, all they have to do is shut down the systems moving the money around and everything stops. One automatic update is all it would take.

I’m saying they can. Not that they will. There is a difference, but it will be their decision. But then again, maybe that’s why Zuckerburg is building an underground compound in Hawaii

I actually kind of see all this the opposite…if and as a single private company shows itself as too connected and controlled to too many things, that’s the perfect “in” for governments to be like yeah so that’s too much reliance on a single private company we’re going to have to step in here and put our hands directly on the reigns too and suddenly Microsoft isn’t so private and in control any more…probably not what they’d want
Think of this, the US Government couldn’t stop Julian Assange from exposing documents or bring him back to the US for trial, do you think they could find, arrest and bring Gates or Zuckerberg back here if they decide to mess around?

Microsoft Is big enough now that, if a new technology is invented and perceived as a threat, they’ll buy them out if for no other reason but to use it themselves or kill it.
Also, a Mayer A. Rothchild quote: “Give me control of a nation’s currency and I care not who makes its laws.”

It’s amazing…Big technology outage affecting the country and none of it has bothered me at all. I wasn’t even aware of it until one of my co-workers complained about his wife being off today with no pay because the University computers are all “updating”.
My stuff still works, for now at least. If it doesn’t work later, I will manage.

Analog Forever!! I can’t remember what Tom Clancy Novel it was but it might have been “Executive Orders” where an attack was executed on the American Stock Market. Without giving away the solution to the attack was the statement “If it’s not written down, it didn’t happen.” I have most of Tom’s books, so I now have a reason to read them again.
