Looking for some advice on a 6.5 Grendel upgrade. Put a 20" 6.5 Grendel upper on a mil spec Stag Arms Carbine lower. Replaced the horrible trigger and am now considering replacing the buffer and spring with a Geissele 42 spring and an H1 buffer. Thoughts?

I think I posted already about the Grendel. Before changing the buffer and spring, see where the rifle is throwing the brass. If it is ejecting it between the 3:30 to 4:30 position, then you might be able to wait on the buffer and spring. I was able to leave mine as they were. I did upgrade the BCG by installing a nice, slick Odin. Easier to clean and she seems to run cooler.

I’ve run all of the buffer systems. My recommendation, if starting from scratch or making a change, is to go straight to an intermediate/A5 system by VLTOR or BCM (and use a Sprinco green spring with the middleweight A5-2 buffer by default)

UPDATE: Installed and works like a champ! Seems to cycle a bit faster also…
