Just got a ar 15 5.56 . I’m 41 yrs old have not shot since I was I 12 . Looking for a rifle instructor

That is awesome, so glad you are being responsible and looking for instructions. Pretty sure being in Paris TX you will have no issues finding an instructor willing to work with you. And welcome to the Community, you made the right choice coming to USCCA, I hope you become a member if you have not already. Even if you pay for the most basic membership you get access to a plethora of training videos which will help you become familiar with your firearm. You will still want to take some actual in person instruction time, but the videos can assist with you becoming familiar with your firearm, care of your firearm and basics of utilizing it.

Training instructors usually leave their business cards at local gun stores. Ask the store clerk for recommendations.

There’s a guy in Wolfe City that has his own 800 yard range. He’s a retired fireman and also does load workup. He explains all very well. His initials are JG and he’s on the Texas Hunting Forum under the name J.F. Fireman.
