That is not a man who snapped. That is a man who took the rhetoric seriously. Who heard โHitlerโ and โfascistโ and โAntichristโ for ten years from people he trusted and finally did the math the words implied.
Most people on his side of the aisle do not pull the trigger because some last brake in their head holds. He had no brake left.
The politicians and journalists and blue-checks and anon trolls who built that brake-killing rhetoric are not pulling triggers, but they surely are loading the gun and handing it to whoever picks it up.
And unless something is done about this, there will be others.

This past weekendโs failures at the White House Correspondents Dinner once again puts the spotlight on the Secret Service. Unfortunately, the Secret Service should NEVER have a spotlight on them. Their job is to not ever be seen. Thatโs the idea.
The simple fact that the event site in DC wasnโt completely secure is extremely troubling. Exits were left unguarded, elevators operated normally, guests came and went, and hotel guests werenโt sequestered nor subject to baggage inspections as they checked in/out. That should NEVER happen.
I have some intimate knowledge and experience working with the Secret Service. I worked hand-in-glove with them when I carried the Nuclear Football for the Clinton administration. It was an incredible professional privilege to work with them. Great guys and great girls.
I dug through some of my White House trip books last night to relive some of those events. Just to recall how the Secret Service operated in those days.
Here is one in particular that highlights the differences between then and now.
In 1996, I was traveling with Bill Clinton on a trip to NYC. We stayed at the Waldorf Astoria for a few days of fundraising events. In those days, the Secret Service took over and secured the top 3 floors of the hotel. I stayed in a room adjacent to Clinton on the top floor.
ALL entrances and exits were closed with 24 hour around the clock posts of agents. There was no access. Period. The elevators were all locked out from the top 3 floors. A Secret Service agent rode the elevator between the upper floors and checked everybodyโs ID. Room keys werenโt accepted as ID, only official White House credentials. ALL bags were screened.
It was super tight. I was dating my wife, Nichole, at the time and she was living in New York working as a flight attendant for Delta. Since I was in town, she visited one evening and we were going to grab dinner at the hotel.
I informed the Secret Service lead. He, personally, went down to the lobby, checked her ID, and escorted her up to the top floor. Thatโs how tight.
Flash forward to today. NONE of these policies were in effect in DC. Why?
Is the Secret Service extremely undermanned? Democrats havenโt funded them for months. Or, is it lack of leadership?
I think itโs the latter.

PBD Podcast, to me, had a interesting take on how that perpetrator developed into someone who would plan to commit so much carnage. I believe it was a combination of the old adage nature/nurture. Sad, nonetheless.

This is proof of a communist desperate attempt to overthrow a country they thought would be easy once barry soetoro was elected and they exposed themselves for what they truly were. I am amazed at how many politicians, leftist wack jobs, teachers, media, tv personalities post derogatory, threatening, and outright death threats against President Donald Trump, with absolutely no consequences. I canโt post words like 'thugs" โgang bangersโ "communist politicians, but these wack jobs are all over, even to the point of the media repeating the threats on national tv (latest 60 minutes episode for example) and getting away with it.
