That is not what they are screaming for. They are screaming to scream. They don’t know what they are screaming. The system is broken. Trump is trying to fix it like he fixes everything else. They don’t want a republican president to fix it. They want a democratic president to fix it. They are doing everything they can to stop him.

When Crockett stated that rioting, attacking police and destroying police vehicles, public and private property, etc., is peaceful protesting that is justified if one believes the police are doing something wrong.

Actually, it wasn’t a shot at you per se. It “was” a shot at the stupidity of your comment about what recourse the “Left” had if they don’t get their way after the tantrum they are throwing. I’m going to give you the benefit of the doubt and say you weren’t actually insinuating that the “Left” should start shooting at Law Enforcement Agents executing Legal Enforcement Operations as you insinuated. Surely you aren’t that stupid and by extension the “Left”, it would be mind boggling to me that you and/or the “Left” couldn’t predict what would immediately happen afterward. Your words strongly suggest you are inferring armed resistance against lawfully appointed LEO’s executing their duly delegated duties. Because the “Left” decided that the Trump Administration had become a rogue government unilaterally. If I remember correctly (and I do) President Trump is the duly elected POTUS and his Administration is following his directive as he has handed them down to his duly delegated subordinates.
But, to answer your question the purpose of the 2nd Amendment, it does have other functions, is to protect against a tyrannical government. What is happening in Minnesota is not tyranny, it’s cleaning up after the failed Biden Administration. Nasty but necessary.
However; there is a very simple solution for these “peaceful protests”. If the “Illegal Immigrants” and the “Left” do not want to deal with ICE and their “tactics”.

So you know, Ammond Bundy who this topic is about is far right. It is not always the left picking up arms against law enforcement.
I would actually call Ammon Bundy Right of Center, he is a Constitutionalist with religious morality but he is not a nationalist or fascist. More of a Reagan Republican who looks at every Government situation through the lens of the Constitution.
