"The department said it turned the criminal investigation over to the Davis County Sheriff’s Office and initiated an internal affairs investigation.
No other details about the alleged crimes were released.
“We are committed to full transparency and ensuring that the community we serve can continue to rely on the professionalism and ethical conduct of its employees,” the Ogden police statement said."
This seems to be the way our Government Officials handle everything. The booking records are public record so they can’t hide the arrest but then it’s “Under investigation, no Comment…” until it fades away into the background.
I think the bureaucracy has introduced a new way to fill out reports of all kinds- “There was a shooting at the park in the center of town. No further details are available.” A man was struck by a vehicle when he attempted to cross the street in the absence of a crosswalk. No further details are available." So, next time you have to fill out a report of any kind, end it with “No further details are available.” and shut up.
Update:
Just a little bit embarrassing to the police.
“The officer said he had taken a box of case files to his Huntsville home that contained images of adults and children in various states of nudity and would “remove those items containing those images” and p****** himself, the affidavit alleges.”
And he was in there with the kids all of the time?
I would love to be a “resource officer” but all of them, at least here, have been taken by retired officers. Not that I’m be-itching exactly but they seem to be the only ones “qualified” in many people’s mind. Ah well back to our regular programming.
Of course, guess I wasn’t thinking when I typed that.
It can be difficult to find positives in much of anything that has been going on in recent years. Seems like there are few current event type topics that don’t involve some level of horse dung.
That’s because my Brother, There are no ‘Reporters’ anymore
Local or otherwise.
In Albuquerque they have Internet followers masquerading as Reporters.
They must be listening to the 911 dispatch, hear a call
and hit the 'net for information. It’s that Lame.
No Information, No follow up’s
Not even standing NEAR the crime scene anymore 'Over my right shoulder you
can see the shrouded bodies of a family of (8) killed by a Tractor Trailer…"
On the Net they show a stock photo of a squad car or a street they got from Google Maps…Pathetic…more to follow and then into the void the story goes never to be seen again.
I read Ammoland and I get descriptions, Male, Female, Age’s, rounds fired, Vehicle plate numbers
even what type of gun used, and I Marvel @ it! Here I might as well read Calvin and Hobbs!
(@ least I get a laugh then).
