I’m wondering how many were caused during holstering / re holstering process.
I’m guessing most of these happened because of unsafe handling during cleaning or loading / unloading.
I’ll never buy into the narrative that AIWB kills or hurts more than any other carrying method.

I 100% agree! It’s no more or less dangerous than any other method of carrying a live weapon.
For me and my body type, it just won’t work, and even if it would work, there’s always that little voice in the back of my head, “never point a gun at something you’re not willing to destroy” (twig and berries, bladder, colon, pelvis, femoral arteries,… those are all things I don’t want to destroy,… thanks)

Not sure about your anatomy, but if you have an arm down there… and it must be quite skinny to be able to move it out of the way.

When I switched to AIWB, one of my Tier1 holsters is White, so when I reholster I can easily see if anything is in the way.

Thank you, sir, for sharing your personal experience. This took courage, bravery, and about 10K other things. I know that it was difficult, and what really stood out to me was HOPE. You will pick up a firearm again despite what an accident has done to your physical body. Your heart is huge, and I am truly grateful. My cousin was playing with a firearm as a teenager, as a teen who is no longer with us and had a twin brother; however, the fact that you are a professional who is seeking a therapist, not letting narcotics hold a stance in your life, says to me to keep going despite the challenges that will come. The key takeaway for me is what you stated at the end: people will have different thoughts and opinions; however, you are going to move forward anyway. People like me will keep your story in our hearts for the rest of our days, and I have to tell others without using your name, ok. Your strength and power that has been instilled in you is extremely rare, and I am not afraid due to the fact that you will be saving lives, which might be only one of the reasons why you survived on Purpose. My little cousin was dressed nicely in his polished suit in his casket, but guess what? He is not able to speak like you; therefore, you spoke for him and millions of others. I appreciate you once again and am looking forward to your next video.

I have not attended many courses yet; however, by reading your comment, I can kick a man, if needed, with full force at his testicles, and he would no longer be a threat and have time to run and save others?

I wouldn’t count on stopping a bad guy with just a kick to the testicles, but if you shoot him in the pelvic area he’ll likely stop his attack pretty quickly. In the world of self defense, though, nothing is certain and you need to be ready to do whatever you have to to save your life. That could mean multiple shots to multiple areas of his body to get him to rethink his choices and stop attacking you.

71 yrs old. NRA pistol instructor, AR concealed carry instructor. Reasons for this accident are very simple.
1st critical mistake, carrying appendix carry
2nd MORE critical mistake, carrying appendix with a pistol with NO PHYSICAL THUMB SAFETY. I too carry a Glock, 43x. First of all I ain’t about to carry appendix and I would NEVER consider carrying appendix with a GLock or any other pistol with no physical safety.
Lesson learned. Don’t repeat.

You instruct on carrying a concealed AR? 60+ years old NRA pistol instructor. Used to carry AIWB and do not like external safeties. As an NRA instructor you should know the rule, safeties are mechanical devices that can fail. The only true safety is one’s mind, and that can fail, too.
