# Aftermarket Magazines

So, I’ve been trying to find 17 round factory magazines for my M&P 2.0 9mm and everywhere is out of stock except the places marking up the price from MSRP.
I can find ProMag magazines everywhere, but the reviews are poor. Magpul doesn’t touch S&W pistols (Glock and CZ only). However I did find Mec-Gar magazines, but they don’t follow the same marketing schematic Smith and Wesson does. Now the mags they have that I _THINK_ fit are for the 5900 series of pistols. I can’t get confirmation from S&W that the M&P pistols are or aren’t included in that series. I’ve found articles claiming the M&P 2.0’s are 3rd generation 5900 series.
Does anyone happen to know if these mags will work? Or am I just screwed until after November?

Try online at The Mag Shack. I have a Ruger Security 9 and Ruger wants $40 for a magazine, $56 for a 2-pack. Mag Shack had a 2-pack of factory mags for $40 +$5 shipping. Had them in my mailbox in two days.

Thank you, i checked the other day and they were out of stock. I forgot to check again before asking this.
For future reference though, does anyone use Mec-Gar mags and happen to know the answer to my question?

I have never tried them in an M&P, but be aware that Mec-Gar is the primary OEM magazine maker in the world. It is even possible (perhaps even likely) that they manufacture the factory M&P magazines for S&W.
