A trans girl was banned from her track team. Now she’s competing with the boys

Great story on the Washington Post and one to keep in mind when dealing with people who are clutching their pearls about Transwomen being banned from women’s sports. This young woman moved over to the men’s team and continued to compete. She has zero chance of ever winning anything but she had zero chance of beating girls prior. The important part is she is still participating in team sports and learning to be a team player even if she is playing on a men’s team when she identifies as a woman.

From the Story:

She didn’t think she had an advantage against the girls. She certainly wouldn’t have one over the boys, most of whom are bigger than she is. In fact, she knew it would be harder. The boys’ discus weighs about 3.5 pounds, almost a pound heavier than that of the girls. The boys’ shot is 12 pounds, and the girls’ is about 8.

The day had gone as well as she could have expected. She was surrounded by friends, teammates and coaches who wanted to see her succeed. No one seemed to pay mind to the fact that she stood out among the boys. After the throw, Shyam wrapped his daughter in his arms. The day had gone as smoothly as he could have hoped, too.

Forty-six feet and 10 inches.

It was one of her farthest throws yet — and the shortest in the boys’ competition that day.

The Men who threw that day were all over 74 feet, but the important part is she was able to participate in sports, be a member of a team and grow from it. Transwomen who want to compete can do so on the men’s team, they lose nothing by doing so.

Men compete in men’s sports everyday.

This is like praising a raindrop for being wet, railroad tracks for being parallel or grass for being green.

Guess you missed the point, which was the world will not end if Transwomen compete in men’s sports. When dealing with those who oppose the idea, it’s best to come at them with facts, this woman proves those complaining it’s unfair to expect Transwomen to play on the teams of their birth sex wrong. Sure she will never win, but she was never going to win prior.

I didn’t miss any point.

Men do not belong in women’s sports, period. They also do not belong in their restrooms, locker rooms, changing/dressing rooms etc.

Wait are women’s restrooms setup like Marine Corps Basic Training restrooms where you can look your buddy in the eye while taking a dump? Or do they have stalls like men have in the real world? I am of the opinion is if you have tits, go sit down and pee in the women’s room. If you are a man with tits, address your eating problem.

It’s very simple. This news article is either about a man pretending to be a woman so he can beat women at sports or or a woman pretending to be a man so she can play with men so she doesn’t have to try to win or it could be about a man pretending to be woman who pretends to be a man so he she it can play against men or a woman pretending to be a man so she can pretend to be a woman so she can…it all makes perfect sense if your invisible friends are donkeys pretending to be unicorns.
Can donkeys use the same bathrooms as unicorns?

In a normal world, these people would just be ignored by the masses…we could do that.

I can only lead people to water, I cannot force them to drink. Gender Dysphoria is a real mental health issue like Autism and Down Syndrome which are not curable. Pretending it does not exist does not make it go away.

The Y chromosome determines the gender. If the Y is present then the gender is male. No exceptions. It is physically impossible to surgically remove and insert chromosomes into every one of the 3 trillion cells in a human in order to change their gender. Hormonal treatments are cosmetic, are not sustainable and cause other health issues. Playing along to even pacify the “trans” is doing all involved a disservice. These last 5 years or so are going to go down in history as the era of insanity.

I am an atheist, when I was younger I would rail against those who had imaginary friends having mental disorders. Today I have learned to respect the beliefs of others and accept them, because it’s better for society which I live in.

I don’t see how catering to mentally ill peoples’ fantasies benefits society.

Ok and which one of those chromosomes determines if someone is going to be gay? We are talking about mental disorders, their chromosomes won’t really matter. What we do know is there is absolutely no cure for the disorder. So we can kill these kids when they show signs or we can accept them, which is it?

Been living with Christians for 50 years, do you really want to go there?

Whomever is flagging posts on threads I start, I am asking please don’t. This is the first instance of it happening but that was John1746’s first post and that is absolutely zero way to treat a new member. I am asking people to respect the messages I put out by respecting those who respond to them. I am a firm believer in sharing information and having healthy debates on them, there was nothing in John1746’s post that was of ill intent.

Nothing changes that we are having to deal with a generation which it has become acceptable. We cannot pretend trans people don’t exist. When I was younger they just kept their heads down and didn’t openly identify themselves. I was 21 the first time I ran into a transwoman and had zero idea they were Trans till a coworker pointed it out. However living in Oregon I have known more trans people because they feel comfortable with exposing themselves here. The post was not a let’s all accept transpeople post, it was a Trump was right post, they can still participate in sports but along their birth sex. I am pointing out to embrace the win, don’t be upset that there are still transpeople, that will never change.

hmmm…

IIRC wasn’t there a case where a guy claiming to be a girl rapped 2 different girls in 2 different schools???

then the schools that had covered the first rape and relocation of said guy got sued???

then we have the stuff going on in prisons where males claim to be females and then rape female inmates???

sports thing… IMHO men verses men and women verses women is correct…
