A guy, his Jeep and his dog…

I’m sorry for you’re troubles(glad both you and the ride survived—singed but survived :innocent:)
BUT YOU ARE A PHUNNIE FELLA! If we can’t laugh @ what life throws at us we are doomed!
Short story meself (off topic) On Cinco de Mayo , off work toolin’ home in my truck
feelin’ good! (sober) and coming onto a major roadway is a brand new Statie Cop SUV.
BOLD Shield on the door State Police in vivid colors (not a plain subdued wrapper.
This jamoke driving a smokin’ All black Lexus I see coming up on us FAST!, I figure he’ll see the Man soon enough (how can ya miss him?) The Cop MUST have seen this idiot as he pulls over into the center lane (where the Lexus was) to slow him down a bit, a ‘Hey do you see me now move clearly’…dingus pulls around the Cop (still flying in a 60 mph going down to 50 section of the road. Cop pulls behind him now flying also
Maybe he’s giving the guy a 10th chance to slow down? Then LIGHTS HIM UP! Pulls drunk ass over…he had to be drunk… Stupid just doesn’t cut it here.
I mention this because I know our irritation for ‘Gun Free Zones’ and a lot of crap
the Left tries to impose on the Citizenry but Drunk Driving is a Nasty Menace (especially out here in Cactus Junction) . The 'Tard’s out here drive bad enough when sober, On my way to work I see the Fences, Cinder block walls etc w/ huge holes in them. Cars parts in the Intersections that weren’t there the day before. Wreckers loaded up all the time. BAD DRIVER’S are common, you add Alcohol to the mix and it’s down right dangerous.
I don’t drink, PERIOD. I don’t have a hard on for folk’s who do. Not my way.
Some here love their hootch (more power to them) But these idiots that fly around our roads make no sense.
Sorry for the rant, but I LOVE my Cars N Truck, I Love my life and I don’t want to risk them just getting around town.
It’s just another FACTOR in being a GUNNER that I love. We follow the RULES, TAKE RESPONSILILITY for our actions, Love our Family and Pets, Cars and Work hard.
Why can’t folk’s be at the very least less stupid? Hey, gotta get ready for work…

Yeah bro, I can’t stand drunk drivers. I have zero tolerance for that stupidity. I also can’t stand reckless drivers that think they need to speed, weave and tailgate in traffic. I honestly don’t care if you want to run flat out on the open interstate, as long as it’s a clear road and youre only putting yourself at risk, but traffic is not the place for anything but careful and courteous driving.

I’m glad that idiot got lit up and got his. Too often I see someone like that and just wish a cop were around to see it.

Excellent photos, Enzo!

The first one would look great framed & on a wall or desk/table top somewhere in your home.

Looks like a pretty heavy jacket for being in the desert. You must be getting some of this stuff we’re getting up here in Utah.

I’m not lost as long as my dog is with me!

And how far do you have to hike in that environment to be out of sight of your truck?

You had better ruck up a whole lot of water for that kind of hike!!!

Higher elevation and BLOWING winds today. It’s my Carhart Jeep jacket. It’s not a super heavy jacket but it’s really windproof and like all Carhart stuff, impossible to kill.

Not impossible,… but you have to be trying, and at least a little lucky to survive yourself!

True…. The last two Carhartt jacket I owned I gave to my son because I was sick of them and they were still too good to throw out. :smiling_face_with_sunglasses:

My Carhartt is 40 years old. It looks a little rough at this point, but there’s still nothing like it, and I wouldn’t trade it.

Y’all aren’t working in them then!

I lit mine on fire (welding) multiple times,… eventually if you really use them… they will die….

Granted, if it weren’t for their protection, you (I) would certainly be dead!

Yea, I’m calling that a DC 9, with an MTOW of 54,885. The front gear support roughly 20% of that so that Pick Up could be carrying about 11,000#. 5 tons in a Toyota, Probably not.

Yeah, I’ve worked in it a little over the years, admittedly not as much over the last 20 years since I came to FL and it only gets used a few months of the year. Still, an amazing jacket for durability, all things considered. I tried to buy a new one last year, but this style seems to be gone, and theyre all made overseas now

Reminds me of visiting Joshua Tree NP.

Oh I used mine extensively for ranch work. Just not in the habit of setting myself on fire

Once, I get it but “Multiple Times”? Give me a call before you weld in that jacket again, I’ll make a recommendation that might save you save charred Carhart gear…
