I would have to do the research but don’t solar panels start to degrade after a few and after ten need replacing to stay at peak efficiency?

Mine have a 25 year warranty – panels and inverter. I’ll be dead by then – I’m 68 now.
I’ve had mine for 6 years now and not seen any degradation in output. I had an inverter failure, but it was replaced under warranty within less than 1 month downtime for the replacement inverter to ship and be installed (SolarEdge).
I view the investment in solar panels like a “bond” that produces $200/month tax free (what I save on my monthly electric bill), plus $9,000 in tax credits (my money that I do not have to send to DC to be squandered) and $7,000 in rebates. Plus, my utility pays me annually the wholesale rate for the accumulated electricity generated in excess of my usage. That runs around $150.
I’m waiting for the price of whole house lithium batteries to fall a little more to invest in batteries. LG and Tesla make the more popular ones. In Europe, the batteries on a Nissan Leaf can be configured to provide whole-house backup power.

The tax on the annual income of $150 is de minimus compared to the savings of solar panels. The exciting developments will be in the area of vehicle-to-grid/vehicle-to-home (V2G/V2H) battery backup systems.

Most panels are guaranteed for 25 to 30 years. Most of the early tech panels from the last few decades that were only rated to go for 12 to 20 years are still going strong. The panels are also getting cheaper every year and even at todays prices would not cost much to replace 3 decades down the road. The energy savings would be worth it for most if you can afford the initial investment. We use very little electricity and the system will still pay for itself in about 12 years. Then our electricity is free plus some extra money for us from the excess we produce.
Large scale solar production in the middle of the desert that losses a lot of the energy it makes during transmission is not a great idea. But small scale local solar on houses and parking lots makes a lot of sense. They just need to catch up on the battery technology to make it more viable for 24/7 availability. Till then fossils fuels will be an important though economically volatile part of the system. As we are seeing in CA, trying to transition too quickly without maintaining fossil fuel infrastructure as part of the mix will not go smoothly.

As we can see in Gods Word 
satins New World Kingdom will NOT be a Democracy or a Republic.
We can see also the stages being set to bring the earthly kingdom of the anti christ by people trading their privacy for convince, the technology to put tracking chips into people, cancel culture in the rewrite of history, lawlessness, progressive movement to get society away from Bible taught teachings, politicians and news media trying to get one group or race of people against each other, the break up of the American homes, agenda news, one group trying to control of the narrative, and government officials who admit they are socialist and embrace this form of government. 
Those people who grew up in the Cold War area of the old USSR can really relate to the sings of communism.

Thoughts I would like to make:
The thought of a New World Humanist Government is not a new concept. One of the first times this was a concept was at the Tower of Babel.

As seen in Gods Word God never intended man to have one earthly physical kingdom. God wants humans to be United in Christ and be saved when they accept Christ as Lord and Savior and believe in the death, burial, and Resurrection. 
Those people who accepted Christ will live in Gods Eternal Kingdom. 
The human made One World kingdom of satin will be a counterfeit to Gods Eternal Kingdom that will be coming to earth after the defeat of satin and his kingdom.
[2] And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. Revelation 21:2

The most MILD definition of socialism is Democratic Socialism. 
Socialism will help set the stage for 
satin One World Kingdom. This will help people to be conditioned to rely on a world leader (anti christ) when he comes to power for all needs from morality, Spiritual, direction, material needs, and to the government picking winners and losers.
Democratic socialism is opposed to the Soviet economic model, command economies, and authoritarian governance. Under democratic socialism, the ownership of private property is limited. The government regulates the economy. 
Democratic socialism can very easily go to a stronger form of government. As stated from the top there will a very strong form of world government in the future.
I understand Corporate America is not always fun to deal with and there is some corruption BUT we all know of the corruption in the American political system. 
My question is why would we take the power and influence from one corrupt group and give power to another corrupt group to choose winners and losers in our society and think things will get better?
Do you see what the negative effect socialism is having on the Oil rich Country of Venezuela?
I have always said the 2 Countries to watch in Bible prophecy is Israel for obvious reasons and the United States. As we can see now the best way to have peace in the world is to get strong leadership in the White House as seen from PresidentS like Reagan and Kennedy. The best way for world prosperity is for American PEOPLE to prosper. Americans are very generous people and out of their abundance always give generously 
.
To have this World System America has to be weak and one with the New World system. America can’t be the light shining on the hill in this new world system.
Be strong man and woman in Christ. Stay in the Bible Gods Word and continually pray for people, and our Country.

I was told once that in a 2 party system that each side lets the other get away with corruption so they don’t come back on them for their corruption. Thats why the rules are rigged to keep a third party from forming. There would be someone who would tell on the other 2 .

Knowing our government, They will eventually tax the holy //// out of solar panel owners to maintain transmission lines they don’t use. The same way they are raising taxes on electric cars to make up for the loss of fuel tax revenue.

It was tried in Colorado and failed. The utility proposed to raise the monthly connection fee from around $18 to $25. The consumer counsel, which allegedly represents consumers proposed that the monthly connection fee be raised to more than $70. It argued that only rich people could afford solar panels and they owed it poor consumers to subsidize their electric bills. The PUC rejected all those arguments and lowered the monthly connection fee to $9. I suspect it believed that it should encourage distributed generation rather that continue down the path of more and more expensive central generation.

See, many moons ago I went to college and had to watch Battleship Potemkin and write a paper on it. Western culture is no longer popular in universities, so they probably don’t even mention this old classic to students, and that’s a pity, cause its a story about uhm… alternative meats.

Bernie has always been a self proclaimed democratic socialist. Those stripes have been completely unchanged for his entire decades long political career. I don’t believe most of his ideas would solve the problems we face today though he was able to work with Ron Paul on some useful compromises. He also used to have nothing against poor people having the same access to firearms that rich people do. And he used to be willing to publicly admit that open boarders won’t work for any country regardless what system you are trying to implement.
Unfortunately he has now caved to the anti self defense movement and new Democrat open border platform. Which seems to be based on the delusional belief that allowing tens of millions more people to uncontrollably enter the US will somehow solve our homelessness, hunger, crime and budget disasters.
The differences between socialism and communism are subtle but important. But as with all the ists and isms tried throughout history we will never know how well any of the various proposed systems might actually work because they always get corrupted by the greedy self serving individuals who rise to power regardless of the system in place. The underlying system doesn’t mater when the people in charge manipulate it for personal gain at the expense of everyone else.
Our current experiment in a capitalist, representative republic showed some promise in the past. But looking at the cesspool of politicians in office on the left and right I don’t see how it doesn’t all end up flushed down the same drain as all the other ideologies.
