The built-in ability to monitor and control use of crypto money is the reason this nation must never even come close to establishing a Central Bank Digital Currency (CBDC) as part of the dollar. The GENIUS Act has some controls in it to block CBDC. However, EU countries are rushing headlong into the CBDC systems, which will make low-information populace in the USA want to follow that lead.
Do you want a government agency tracking eveyr purchase you make, and able to block any use of your money by just turning it off?

Goes way beyond cripto. Last year a local indoor range/gun shop sent out an email that their bank account had been cancelled by their bank. A major player whose name starts with a āCā. I know theyāve worked on changing this type of discrimination, but it is a warning. Cripto will, if and when it replaces cash, put serious concerns on the table. Iām in full agreement with the comments above, canāt let it happen. Not just got the 2A standpoint, but from every transaction you make. Contributions, church tithes, gifting, and just spending. It will permit government to restrain any and all of your spending and receiving of funds. There will be no freedom when they control you and your money.
